FAITHFUL IN EVERY SEASON:
AN UPDATE ON CARING FOR OUR SANCTUARY AND EACH OTHER!
Beloved Church Family,
Grace and peace to you.
I want to share an important update regarding our worship space. Over the past
two Sundays, our sanctuary has been without heat. After prayerful discernment and
diligent work by our Trustees, we learned this past Monday that the issue is more
serious than first hoped and will require a full boiler replacement.
Because of this, we will be temporarily moving our worship service this coming week to
the Fellowship Hall, which is warm.
We know how uncomfortable—and frankly disruptive—this has been, especially in the
heart of winter. Please know this: creating a space that is safe, warm, and welcoming is
not optional for us. It is an expression of care, stewardship, and love for this community.
Several of you may recall that we replaced a boiler in 2017, which makes this moment
especially frustrating. Still, the reality is clear: we must have heat in the sanctuary, and
we are committed to doing what is necessary to make that happen.
Our Trustees are actively collaborating with contractors to expedite repairs and
determine the fastest and wisest path forward. We will continue to keep you informed as
we learn more about the timeline and next steps.
Thank you for your patience, flexibility, and grace with one another. The church has
never been just a building—it has always been a ‘people.’ And even in this disruption,
Jesus is still in the room, still gathering us, still warming hearts even while we wait for
the sanctuary to warm again.
So, we will see you this coming Sunday in the Fellowship Hall for worship.
With gratitude and hope. Amen
Your Pastor, Dr. Ron Bell II
